Our business model
We’re creating independent research for the people who price player deals.
What we sell
Pitch-by-pitch simulation
Our first product, following v0. For clubs and training facilities: pitch design, a batter’s plan at the plate, and judging a player’s decisions separately from his results.
Season and career simulation
Coming next. For agencies, funds, lenders and insurers: pricing contracts, extensions and college athletes’ endorsement deals across every career a player could have.
Studies of one large decision
Once season and career simulation is ready. For clubs and leagues: a one-off forecast for a long contract, a trade, a draft, a financing or a stake in a team.
Buyers
Our buyers are the funds and firms now putting money into player deals.
Clubs build their own forecasts. Most of the agencies, funds, lenders and insurers putting money into the same deals don’t, and there’s no independent research they can buy.
The ten largest sports agencies represent more than $72 billionForbes 2025 in player contracts, and investment firms have bought, or agreed to buy, big stakes in the largest of them.
Data
We’re collecting data on the players most data misses.
Most sports data covers players already in the top professional leagues, because better players get measured more. A model trained on it knows little about everyone else.
We’re setting up pop-up screening clinics that pay young hitters to take live at-bats, and subsidised training plans at training facilities in exchange for the data a player produces as he trains. We’re also arranging partnerships with summer leagues, and agreements with data providers to buy professional-league data.
Growth
We start with baseball and add sports in order of how well they’re recorded.
v0 simulates pitches and at-bats. Next is how players change from game to game with workload and age, which takes the simulation into the seasons and careers a contract covers.
Cricket, tennis and golf come next, because their play breaks into separate, well-recorded events. Football, basketball and soccer follow.
We never take a side in the deals we forecast.
We show the v0 demo, its model card and technical report, and the technical whitepaper on how the models work by invitation.
